Interview with HR Leader, Sandra Kaitila-Balogh

Navigating Challenges and Shaping the Future

For our third interview in the series, we had the pleasure of talking with Sandra Kaitila, Strategic People Engagement Partner at Exclaimer. Sandra shared that although her career journey didn’t follow a traditional path to her current HR leadership role, her background in talent acquisition uniquely positioned her to tackle challenges in engagement and retention. That formative experience in talent acquisition highlighted the value of talent identification, critical role assessment, and constructive feedback, all of which have assisted Sandra in her journey from a specialist to a generalist HR role and eventually into leadership.

We hope you enjoy the interview in which Sandra:

  • Reflects on her motivation for entering the HR field, driven by a combination of entrepreneurial spirit and a fascination with fostering hidden talent.

  • Speaks about the role of artificial intelligence in HR, and the potential of AI tools, particularly generative AI, in enhancing efficiency while emphasising the importance of maintaining a human-centric approach.

  • Emphasises the impactful use of data in HR, offering insights into talent attraction, skill gap identification, turnover trends, and benefits utilisation. Also provides practical examples of how data-driven decision-making can influence strategic planning and improve employee engagement.

  • Shares a cautionary note on the importance of data integrity and ethical considerations in interpreting and utilising HR data.

We hope you enjoy watching the interview as much as we enjoyed chatting with Sandra.
